ugh somehow I managed to get sick again. bleh. set up a new shoutcast stream though, muhaha. bleh I go get in bed. (later) Decided to just embrace modern technology and took drugs. That was about an hour ago, so now I'm feeling a little bit less miserable. the shoutcast stream I spoke of is at http://scastsrv2.shoutcast.com:8058 fear.
Just got home. Very good trip. Will give details when I'm not so tired. Pictures from the trip: here, and here. (later) Well I'm not gonna give too many details, just a few random things: * Lots of good dogs in Italy and France. * Good concerts. Our hotel in Ferrara was like 15' from the stage. It was a trip * Christophe was in France, so he came to the shows too. Allison and I pissed him off a lot (by stupidly questioning his french-ness), but when I talked to him on AIM once I got home he seemed to be OK. * Daniel was in England so he came to Nimes with us. On our last day there we went to the beach, and went swimming. The water was nice, and while the waves were less than great (we did manage to bodysurf some), Daniel had a good line. After a couple of french girls in bikinis tried to talk to him in french, and he tried to talk to them in english, Daniel said something like "it is good for the soul having chickies swimming near you in the sea." And later on, he amended to be "good for the soul and self-image." Haha. * Mmm good food in Italy, good food in France (hmm, I hope the good dogs and good food correlation is just a coincidence) * Ian and Julie came to Nimes, too. We had a good time, and a good dinner, with them and some of their friends. * I started speaking a little bit of broken french, and it was fun. At one point, I politely asked for two (2!!!) bottles of water! Wow! heh. :)
Made a lousy song yesterday. Now I head to airport. Be back in a week or so! I'll take lots of pictures, maybe.
Woot, taking some time off. My sister is in town, she's gonna try and school me on some shit and we'll make some shit. Werd. Then Al and I are taking off to meet Daniel and Ian and Julie in europe to go see radiohead. mmm.
Knoppix (www.knoppix.org) RULES. I dig. Works great on my laptop, so far.
Mmm got a Go Big Scooter today. IT ROCKS. So fast. http://www.gobigscooters.com. Rad. Expensive, but good.
but argh goddammit plans are getting changed. ugh. i really hate big corporations and all the crappy patent issues out there. == (pt2) brennan biderman and I had a nice little ad-hoc jam tonight. kinda groovy. on my music page. too much reverb on the drums, as rOn points out. Oh, and there is a hidden challenge on www.nullsoft.com/ That is all.
walking home from the (great) mogwai show, this camera sucks for low light heh
If you're reading this via webdog, ha ha I'm the only nullsofter who can update his .plan because I moved it, muhahaha. Allison thought I was being a bit dramatic saying "my fever broke". I guess that implies that I had a really high fever that took ages, so I should have said "I had a fever last night". Heh. Or at least, I think I did-- nobody took my temp to really verify, but I sure felt like I had one. Anyway here I go being dramatic again. /me says thanks for the modern marvel that is partially hydrogenated oils. Mmmm bread that doesn't go bad in 3 days rules. I know, I'm going to get cancer or something from it, but I think it'll be worth it.
Happy solstice or thereabouts. Been back for a while now, got all the work stuff sorted out. I'm at least content now to get Winamp 5 out, we'll see how it all goes from there. I got some stomach bug or something, I think Allison had it a week ago. Bleh, feeling a little better today though. I joined the man-purse club the other day. Hah hah. Now I can carry around lots more shit with me. But not _too_ much, meaning no 8lbs laptop (thank god, that thing was pain to carry). Was gonna get to go to the AOL Lou Reed show at the Warfield tonight, but my fever just broke this morning, so I better take it easy. Going to see Mogwai monday, which I'm excited about, though. Recorded this in a couple of hours last week: http://www.blorp.com/music/Alone/030617%20-%20deja%20vu.mp3 It's kinda groovy, and has a few problems, but overall I like it. My sister's gonna come visit in 10 days, and we're gonna play around. She may have some [good?] influences on me, what with getting me to make more structure in things. But then again, maybe structure is overrated? Anyway, fun stuff. Hmm I still need to make the real finger work on this, I think I'll do that now. :)
